The Experience
Documentary, posed or a bit of both!
Sessions can be outdoors or in the comfort of your home.
How it Works
Step 01
Get in touch
If you're interested in booking a shoot there are five ways you can reach out to enquire, depending which works best for you. You can use the enquiry link here, use the contact form, message me through facebook or instagram or e-mail me abbyhopewell.photography@gmail.com
We'll have a natter over e-mail/messages about what you're looking for and how we can achieve that. Once we're both happy, we'll arrange a time and a date for the shoot. I'll pop you over an invoice and once paid, voila, you're booked!
Step 02
Being your beautiful selves
If you need any help with what to wear, I can send you through a guide and we can chat about it, too.
On the day, we'll get stuck in and go at your pace. I'll give suggestions and feedback where needed; I've got you!
Step 03
Editing your photos
I'll crack on editing your photos as soon as possible and send you a few sneak peeks ASAP. I aim to get the whole gallery back to you within two weeks of your shoot. I'll whizz you over an e-mail when your beautiful gallery is ready for you to view and download.
Step 04
Choosing memories to treasure
When you access your gallery, you will be able to view and then download individual photos or the whole gallery if preferred. The downloads will be high resolution digital images. If you wish to order prints at that stage, you are more than welcome to do so.
FAQ
Here are the most frequently asked questions.
If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please get in touch!
-
How and when do I pay for a shoot? The full fee is payable upon booking via bank transfer or card, however, if you're booking several months in advance and would prefer to pay in instalments, that can also be arranged. The fee includes a 50% non-refundable retainer and so if you cancel, then 50% of the fee will be kept and not refunded. This covers the time lost to date, admin and loss of earnings for not being able to fill the date again.
-
What do I wear?Neutral clothing without patterns and logos often work best. Clothing that has movement in it such as dresses, long robes etc work beautifully. Ultimately wear whatever you're most comfortable in. I'm happy to send a more in-depth guide for you to have a nosey at which may help you narrow down what would work.
-
What time of day is best? For those dreamy "golden hour" shots it'll need to be sunrise or sunset. Depending on the time of year, these times may not be ideal for some families and therefore other times of day will be better. I recommend avoiding midday sun for outdoor shoots. Indoor shoots can be done more flexibly.

Do you shoot weddings?Photographing weddings is not something I offer generally, however if you're having a small, intimate hand fasting or similar then I would love to have a chat about that and see if I could be the right photographer for you.
-
Do you shoot events? That depends on the event! Generally it would be an hourly rate of £150.00 with a minimum of 3 hours being booked for plus mileage.

What about birth photography?I'm no longer working as a Doula and so I have made the decision to no longer offer birth photography.
